Joe Dumars: Nikola Jokic is a unicorn

Two-time NBA champion and current EVP and league head of basketball operations Joe Dumars says it’s good for the league that Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets made it to the NBA Finals.
It might be more beneficial for the league to have the old rivalry between the Lakers and the Celtics in the Finals, but the new blood is just as good, he says.
“This little Jokic is a unicorn. It’s a real unicorn here,” Dumars told The Carton Show. “The things he does are the ability to pass, see the court, the way he scores, rebounds, assists. You have a seven-foot player who easily triple-doubles every night.
“I think it’s incredibly close for an NBA fan to get a close look at someone like Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. Michael Porter, all these guys. Some very, very good young players… Every time you get to see new blood and new teams, new stars, I think it’s great.”
