A man was arrested after being fatally stabbed in South Nashville, Tennessee.
NASHVILLE, Tennessee. (WKRN) — A man has been detained in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred at a South Nashville condominium Thursday night.
On Thursday, March 16, officers arrived at a condominium complex in the 500 block of Harding Pike and found a man stabbed to death inside the apartment.

Officials later announced that 50-year-old Gary Burchett was wanted in connection with a fatal stab wound that killed the victim, later identified as 51-year-old Thomas Wayne Mitchell.
According to Metro Police, Mitchell was reportedly living with Burchett’s ex-wife.

On Saturday, just before 8:30 a.m., authorities announced that Burchett had been detained in Overton County. Metro police say that Burchett will soon be returned to Nashville.
No other information was immediately released to the public.
